Bogue Falaya River At Boston St in Covington affecting St. Tammany Parish. .The river forecast includes 48 hours of forecasted rainfall. These river forecasts could change based on how Potential Tropical Cyclone 1 tracks across Louisiana and Mississippi late tonight and Thursday. Interests along the rivers should monitor the forecast closely and be prepared for higher flooding. For the Tchefuncte River...including Folsom, U.S. Highway 190 Near Covington...Major flooding is forecast. For the Bogue Falaya...including Camp Covington, Boston St in Covington...Moderate flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Bogue Falaya River at Boston St in Covington. * WHEN...From this morning to late Sunday night. * IMPACTS...At 11.0 feet, There will be more widespread flooding around the grounds of the Christ Episcopal School and Bogue Falaya River Park. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 10:30 AM CDT Wednesday the stage was 6.1 feet. - Bankfull stage is 4.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 10:30 AM CDT Wednesday was 6.1 feet. - Forecast...The river will rise above flood stage late tonight to 11.5 feet Friday morning. - Flood stage is 6.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 11.3 feet on 01/12/2013. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
